Maine Real Estate Continuing Education Courses
Complete your continuing education to renew your ME real estate license today. All of our courses can be completed At Your Pace online in order to help you maintain your license. Once you complete your class you will have an official certificate of completion available to print or save for your records.
We are an approved online CE provider by the Maine Real Estate Commission (MREC).
Maine Real Estate License Renewal Dates and Continuing Education Requirements
All Maine real estate licenses must be renewed every two years on or before the anniversary of the original license issuance date. You may start the renewal process up to 60 days before the license's expiration date.
Brokers, designated brokers, and associate brokers are required to complete 21 hours of Maine real estate continuing education, including:
- 3 hours in a specific core course for your particular license type
- 18 hours of electives
For licenses that expire, are renewed, or are activated after April 1, 2021, the core course requirements for each license type are as follows:
- Designated Brokers: Core Course for Designated Brokers 4: Communication
- Brokers and Associate Brokers: Core Course for Brokers and Associate Brokers 4: Communication
If your license expires and you renew before April 1, 2021, you may take either Core Course 3 or Core Course 4 for your particular license.
Information on Final Exams
In order to receive credit for continuing education courses, you must pass a final exam for each course with a score of at least 85%. If you do not achieve this score on the first try, you may retake the test as many times as necessary.
